Salvation season 2 episode 8 preview: ‘Abre Sus Ojos’

Salvation season 2CBS is doing a rather interesting thing when it comes to Salvation season 2 episode 8 — they are being as secretly as humanly possible. There isn’t an official synopsis out there about the episode, and the only thing that there is at the moment is the title: “Abre Sus Ojos.”

What does that mean? The translation out of Spanish is “open your eyes,” but there is another interesting reference that is present here. Do you remember the Tom Cruise movie Vanilla Sky? “Abre Sus Ojos” is the movie that inspired the film. We do wonder whether or not there are going to be some references to that movie story-wise in this episode, which could be a very important one in the progression of the series. Then again, we do think that you could say the same thing about just about every episode this season … mostly because we’re still reeling from the assassination of the stinkin’ President. We do also think that the show really does need to accelerate things to get some more people talking about the series, given that the ratings for the series are currently at the level that puts it on the bubble of coming back.

This is, effectively, the show putting all of their cards on the table and doing everything that they can in order to ensure that they find a way to push towards a big finale. There are still so many things that need to be resolved, and we absolutely hope that the writers find a good way to take some of those on moving forward. There are, after all, just a small handful of episodes left this season. We’re past the halfway point at the moment.
