Lodge 49 episode 2 preview: Dud looks to find a place
What we know about him coming out of the premiere is mostly this: He’s a bit of an odd duck. He’s been through a lot, in between losing his father, his job, and his old home, and he’s trying to find a new community to be a part of. On the surface, it seems like he may have on in the form of the Lodge, but at the same time we’ve certainly come to learn over time with TV that all that glitters is not gold. There could be secrets still with this place, and it certainly seems already like Ernie is fleecing him to help fix some of his gambling problems.
Of course, maybe this is all us reading into the situation. One of the more interesting things about Lodge 49 at the moment is that there really isn’t all that much that is known about the story or what it even is. The premiere was paced very slowly, with the main goal of it being simply getting to know the characters and the world. This is a show that may require some patience, but we think that there is something about that first episode that has us all the more eager to see what’s coming the rest of the way this season. It did enough in the premiere to show that it has an understanding of who some of its key players are and it can build on that from here on out.
AMC isn’t releasing too much in the way of a Lodge 49 episode 2 tease at the moment, but we can offer you the attached synopsis:
Dud becomes acquainted with the Lodge, Ernie battles with his fellow Lynx regarding Larry’s declining health.
