Outcast season 2 episode 4 preview: A fugitive’s dangerous arrival

Outcast -

What lies ahead on Outcast season 2 episode 4? Depending on where you live, there are some people who may know. The Cinemax series had a long road towards getting back on the air stateside and as frustrating as that may be, it’s long been one of the more twisted, underrated series out there.

If you have enjoyed this season so far, be prepared for episode 4 next week to dive further into Reverend Anderson’s decline and also some of Kyle’s own horrific origins. This is one of those shows where as soon as one problem is resolved, another rises from the ashes. This will be true next week, as well, though you may see at least some attempts to try and recover from the chaos.

Below, the Outcast season 2 episode 4 synopsis offers up a few more details:

The other thing that is a little bit depressing about where things are with Outcast at the moment are the ratings. With Cinemax, there aren’t typically too huge of expectations. This is a network that has excelled mostly in delivering towards passionate niche audiences over time. Unfortunately, this past episode failed to even bring in 100,000 live viewers. While Cinemax has always kept the door open to doing more Outcast down the road, there are clearly many different problems with it … ones that include finding good co-production partners to offset the show’s heavy cost and then also rounding up the cast again given that contracts have long expired. This is one of the tricky things about the series’ airing structure.

For now, our advice is to just enjoy the series as it airs this summer — if there is some good news later, we’ll take advantage of the chance to celebrate it then.
