Killjoys season 4 episode 4 preview: A birth and other chaos

Killjoys season 4

There are a number of different things to appreciate going into Killjoys season 4 episode 4 next week, but can we start with the title? “What to Expect When You’re Expecting … An Alien Parasite” has to be one of the greatest names that we’ve seen for an episode of this show. It is also relevant to the story that is coming up given that there is a birth ahead, plus also a lot of drama and probably a few other surprises that you down’t see coming.

Of course, in true Killjoys fashion there still isn’t a whole lot of information as to precisely what is going to be coming next. For a little bit more news, you can check out the official synopsis below:

Dutch awaken to John at the brink of madness and the birth of D’av’s child.

This episode should be a valuable one for the future of the series, just because we’ve got a birth and also John’s troublesome mental state within the same episode.

How are some of the ratings?

We’re going to offer these up sporadically throughout the season, but unfortunately, most of the news at the moment isn’t good. The second episode of season 4 generated a 0.1 rating in the 18-49 demographic and around 430,000 total viewers. In terms of the latter measure, this is down slightly from the 450,000-plus who watched it for the premiere.

Unfortunately, the show remains down in both key measures versus the third season, which is largely sad for those of us who want to see the series end on a high note. When it comes to the actual future of the series, however, there isn’t all that much to worry about. Syfy has already renewed Killjoys for a fifth season, and it is going to be its last.
