Chris Hardwick returning to The Wall for season 3

The Wall -

One day after it was officially confirmed that Chris Hardwick would be appearing on the final Judge Cuts episode of America’s Got Talent, NBC has made it clear that the host / comedian will return to his other job on the game show The Wall.

A network source has now confirmed (via TVLine) that Hardwick will be back for the third season of the game show, which has been a moderate hit for them over the past couple of years. Back when there were allegations of sexual misconduct and assault made against him by a former girlfriend in Chloe Dykstra, NBC had said in a statement that although they had a positive working relationship with Hardwick, they took the allegations seriously and would investigate the claims.

NBC’s decision with both America’s Got Talent (which had filmed prior to the allegations coming out) and also The Wall come after AMC already reinstated Hardwick as the host of Talking Dead following an investigation by an outside law firm. The investigative part of this story has already concluded, with Dykstra also issuing a statement claiming that she did not partake in the investigation (without naming Hardwick), saying that she did not believe in “an eye for an eye” and did not want to hurt his career simply because he allegedly hurt hers.

Is this story now over? It’s hard to really think that when this is the sort of thing that will continue to follow Hardwick for some time and there are already some changes that feel permanent, such as his former company Nerdist distancing themselves from him and the uncertain fate of his podcast. Yet, we do think that some of these stories are set to quiet down now that most of Hardwick’s television jobs have been restored.

Do you think that it is the right or wrong move for NBC to keep Hardwick on board as host on The Wall? Share right now in the attached comments.
