The Blacklist season 6 filming: Who’s back at work today?

While The Blacklist season 6 first started filming this past week, that does not necessarily mean that everyone was returning to work at the same time.

In this video, the man behind Dembe makes it clear that he is now back trying to make some magic happen on the show’s set in New York. Dembe has a potentially-interesting season ahead for him, mostly because he is going to have to navigate a very different sort of situation for Reddington. While they don’t know it just yet, this is one of the few seasons in which he doesn’t have the power going into it. Instead, the person who does is Liz, who knows that Reddington is not who he claims to be and she is just biding her time at the moment. She has to figure out when she wants to strike and what she wants to do with this information, but before that happens she also probably needs to do a bit more digging to get all of her ducks in a row.

Remember here that for most of last season, Dembe encouraged Reddington stop keeping the secret from Liz and come clean which would have garnered a better chance of everyone moving forward from it. Because Reddington didn’t listen and Liz found out another way we’re now moving into a situation where everything could blow up and Reddington can’t control anything. We don’t think that Dembe is the sort of person who would ever go to him and say “I told you so,” on some level you have to think that he is at least thinking it.

Alas, you’re still going to be waiting until the new year to find out, as The Blacklist is not set to premiere until 2019.
