Sharp Objects episode 4 video: Expectations for ‘Ripe’
One of the things that is appealing about the series, dark as it may be, is that this is a murder investigation that feels far from over. We’ve scratched the surface of it so far but the deeper Camille digs, the more danger others could be in. There’s also the danger of her past bubbling over at almost any time. For many people, a homecoming is something that you associate with joy and nostalgia. That’s not exactly the case for Camille, as she understandably has come to associate it so much more with pain … and it’s not going to be getting any easier.
We think the closing image of the promo below is really the thing that should stick with you — at least for now. It’s still scratching the surface of what’s to come, but if you are not familiar with the material, how much do you really want to know about what’s to come? Is there joy in the element of surprise, or is it really better to be in the dark?
Also, one of the things we’re finding all the more appealing now is Sharp Objects through the lens that this is, for sure, the end. We actually would prefer more limited series to come out and proclaim, without question, that they are not doing a season 2 like this one did. We do think that this adds to the stakes and makes it feel more like every single moment of the show matters. We certainly feel that going into episode 4, just like we feel like some of the worst is yet to come for some of these characters.
