If many of you out there are like us, then you love Hawaii Five-0 and want as much of it as humanly possible. Therefore, there’s a good chance that you are also thinking ahead already to a possible season 10.
In the end, why wouldn’t you? This is a landmark show for CBS, it has a great cast, and it also offers up escapism the likes of which you don’t see almost anywhere else.
Entering season 9, we’d say that for now, there’s no major reason to worry about it being the final season. We were actually more concerned last year about a renewal than we are this time around, mostly because there’s less cast turnover and it feels like Hawaii Five-0 has stabilized itself really well. Beyond just that, we do also think that going from season 9 to season 10 is a little easier just because 10 is such a big milestone. While we understand that it’s really just an arbitrary number, who doesn’t want to get there!
The biggest way for Hawaii Five-0 to ensure that it makes it there is merely that it stays strong in the ratings and, at least for now, there is no reason to doubt it will. While there is going to be some competition, especially in the new year when The Blacklist returns, we think it should be able to withstand that. Consistency really goes a long way with a series like this and it has carved out an audience that is used to watching it on Friday nights. They aren’t suddenly going to bail on it for another show! Keeping the same shows on the air in the same timeslot has really been the key to the kingdom for CBS on Friday nights, especially since this routinely has a reputation for being one of the toughest nights of the week.
Obviously, we will not know for sure the future of Hawaii Five-0 until more than likely the spring of next year, but for the time being, we’re not overly worried about any one thing.
Do you think that a Hawaii Five-0 season 10 is going to happen in the future? Sound off in the comments!
