American Horror Story season 8: Cody Fern playing Michael Langdon

American Horror Story season 8For everyone who remembers Michael Langdon from American Horror Story: Murder Houseknow this: The character is coming back! Now, there’s also a new actor officially cast in the role.

In a new post on Twitter, executive producer Ryan Murphy confirms that Cody Fern, who appeared on another Murphy production in The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story, is going to be playing this character now. A good bit of time has passed since the events of Murder House, so who knows precisely where this character is going to be now? That’s one of the most exciting things about this particular episode, largely due to the fact that you think you know these characters. That is one of the most appealing things about doing now this Murder House – Coven crossover season — it’s the first time we’re really coming into a season with any sort of significant investment in the characters.

The formal title for this season is American Horror Story: Apocalypse, and it is going to be premiering come September. The story of the show is still very much a mystery, and we’re not altogether sure that this is going to be changing in the future. After all, we don’t exactly think that the show is going to make giving spot spoilers out in advance much of a priority. They don’t need to, largely because of the fact that so much about the past is already out there.

As for what we’re hoping to see moving forward, fingers crossed that there is some sort of video teasers that are released over the next few weeks. We know that FX tends to a better job promoting their shows than most.
