Blue Bloods season 9 filming: Nicky’s back; more Jamko fun

Blue Bloods season 9
Who wants some more Blue Bloods season 9 filming news? Production is underway in New York City and because of that, we’re more than happy to be able to share some filming updates along the way.

Yesterday, we shared that the first Reagan family dinner scene was being filmed this season — and that Vanessa Ray was a part of it! Today, we can also confirm that this was some of the first work that Sami Gayle (Nicky) has gotten to do on the show this season. She posted some of her first thoughts on the subject via social media (which CarterMatt has for you to check out below); hopefully, this is a season that will continue to give her and opportunity to do some new things. We tend to get a couple of good Nicky episodes a season and moving into season 9, the same will most likely be the case again.

The Blue Bloods premiere is currently slated to air on CBS come Friday, September 28 at 10:00 p.m. Eastern!

If you missed it… – We discussed the return of family dinners in the new Blue Bloods video at the bottom of the article. Check that out and subscribeYou can also view our Blue Bloods playlist here; new videos come out every Friday.

To go along with this, check out Vanessa Ray’s thoughts on Eddie being at the dinner table this season via Instagram. She reposted the image shared yesterday by Donnie Wahlberg while also joking about the expression on Will Estes’ face. A part of the fun that is going to come from this season is getting to hear more of Eddie’s take on things. The other members of the Reagans have all been there for so long that there could be something quite fun that goes with getting a fresh perspective. We imagine a number of new arguments, but also resolutions since nobody ever leaves the dinner table ever feeling too salty.
