Reverie episode 9 preview: Could Mara leave OniraTech?
For starters, it does appear as though Mara’s future in OniraTech is currently up in the air. At the end of tonight’s episode, some of her struggles were very much clear as she had a hard time differentiating between what was real and what was a part of an artificial world. There are some mysteries here that do still need to be resolved and we are hoping that episode 9 brings us closer to resolution. If nothing else, we do think that you are going to get some more insight here on the subject of Mara’s past with Ray. There is an opportunity for closure that is present here. It may be in her best interest to leave OniraTech just for the sake of getting her mind right.

Mara’s (Sarah Shahi) personal tragedy finally comes to a head and she considers whether she has a future with OniraTech. When the client stuck in Reverie is one of their own, they must all band together before it’s too late. Dennis Haysbert, Sendhil Ramamurthy, Kathryn Morris and Jessica Lu also star.
There are not too many episodes left in the season, and because of that, we do think that things have to ratchet up and build towards the finale. Are we hoping for a second season? Absolutely, but there is no guarantee that we are going to get it. The ratings at the moment for season 1 leave a little bit to be desired, with recent episodes in particular pulling just a 0.4 rating in the 18-49 demographic. It would have been nice to see a slightly better performance from the series than what we are ultimately getting here, but alas, sometimes having a show in the summer — especially one that commands your attention quite like Reverie does — can be rather challenging.
