The Blacklist season 6 officially underway in New York!

To everyone out there as excited for The Blacklist season 6 as we are then today is certainly a great day! The cast is back to work on the NBC series and, to go along with that, we have the first script page as proof.

The image HERE comes via the Instagram of series star Amir Arison (Aram), and from this we’ve learned that the first episode is being written by executive producers John Eisendrath and Jon Bokenkamp. The episode’s title is marked out, but the fair assumption to make there is that it’s the name of a character. That is, after all, something that we have seen with the vast majority of episode titles for the show.

Filming for the series’ 22 episodes often lasts a little bit over nine months, so be prepared to see everyone remaining at work until at some point in the spring. This is both the most exciting and riskiest season of the series to date, with the first bit of evidence of that being just how the story is kicking off this time around: Liz Keen now knows the truth about Raymond Reddington being a fake. She knows that this man she has been working with is not actually her father and she will do everything that she can in order to get answers. Because Reddington is not aware of what she knows, this does inject some higher stakes into the story. She can operate a little bit more covertly and without some of the manipulation that she would have faced otherwise. A part of what makes season 6 so interesting is not knowing precisely how Reddington may have reacted to Liz actually knowing the truth.

The Blacklist season 6 is currently expected to premiere on NBC at some point in early 2019.
