Sheree Whitfield leaving The Real Housewives of Atlanta
Responding to some fans in one of her latest Instagram Stories, Whitfield confirmed her departure by saying that she felt “lowballed” by the Bravo series — with that, it seems as though her exit was due mostly to money. We do understand that given that this is a very demanding, time-consuming series, and everyone involved in it wants to feel like they are really getting what they feel as though the deserve.
Of course, with this being said, The Real Housewives of Atlanta is one of those shows where it feels like the majority of the money that you make is the money that comes from other ventures outside of the show. This is a series that has led to many different opportunities for a number of its other cast members past and present, and that really is where more of the money is.
Still, we understand the desire to leave when there are a number of clear negatives that go against the positives of being on a show like this. For starters, you’re having to work with people in a dramatic setting where you often don’t get along with them. Also, you’re losing a lot of privacy and you really don’t have that much control over the edit. You control what you say and do, but you really are at the mercy of the editors in the end.
Hopefully, there will be some new episodes of Real Housewives of Atlanta a little bit later this year — this is a franchise that has shown already that the show will go on no matter who is in the cast, and we really don’t see that changing at all here. With that said, we’re sure some people will miss Sheree.
