The Blacklist season 6: Preparing for the start of filming!
Over the coming days, filming is going to officially begin for the NBC show in and around New York City, and it’s certainly been a long time coming. Production will be ongoing from this month until the spring, and within that time, there are a number of different stories the series will do its best in order to resolve. Take, for example, the big Fake Reddington a.k.a. “Fred” reveal at the end of season 5. As it turns out, the Reddington that we’ve come to know for most of the series isn’t who he claimed to be. Liz Keen knows that, but Reddington isn’t aware that she does just yet. That is part of the fun of the show moving forward, given that there are not many opportunities with this show to see situations in which Liz knows something that her previously-presumed father did not.
Over the course of season 6, we expect some answers as to who this Reddington really is. However, we don’t anticipate them coming right away. Our general feel is that season 6 is going to be a slow burn and we’ll learn a little more about his man’s identity as time goes along. Oh, and we’re also expecting great performances from the likes of James Spader and Megan Boone.
As for when The Blacklist season 6 is going to actually premiere, think in terms of early next year. There is no official date just yet, but be prepared to see all 22 episodes in succession, without very many breaks along the way. The positive thing that comes out of the show’s return in the new year is that there won’t be much waiting during the season. However, there will be plenty of waiting along the way and as you would imagine, that will lead to its own fair share of problems.
