The Affair season 4 episode 6 spoilers: Alison, Helen’s heart-to-heart
Ultimately, there aren’t too many reasons why the two characters would be around each other, which is probably why the producers haven’t forced anything. Why would they unless there was a legitimate reason for them to do so?
However, what makes the scene that we have seen for Sunday’s episode (watch here) so interesting is that it’s about changing the narrative. Alison thinks that she’s been jerked around constantly by some of the men in her life, and with that, Helen tries to give her some advice in order to turn it around. Whether or not she’ll be able to is something that we’ll have to wait and see on, but we’re definitely worried right now. Remember that her relationship with Ben is mostly a facade right moment. They’re walking on thin ice, but the problem is that Alison doesn’t quite realize it. She doesn’t know he is actually married, and this conversation between her and Helen may be coming after she actually finds out the truth.
This episode of The Affair is going to be an earth-shattering one for these characters potentially thanks to both revelations and the aftermath of them; we do already know some of where the story is going. Just remember here that the flash-forwards this season have brought us to a time in which Alison is missing, and every single moment that we are seeing could be building towards that in some form.
So far, season 4 has been a thing of beauty and a study of relationships and the flawed nature of many of these characters — let’s hope the show keeps it up.
