When could Outlander season 4 release Maria Doyle Kennedy, Ed Speleers photos?

Over the past few months, Starz has released some occasional Outlander season 4 photos. A few of them are official promotional images for the series, whereas some others are just some fun behind-the-scenes teasers.

Yet, through it all there are two notable performers that the series has intentionally done their best to hide: Maria Doyle Kennedy as Aunt Jocasta and also Ed Speleers as Stephen Bonnet. While their castings have been confirmed, Starz still has been incredibly hesitant to share anything regarding either one of them.

This is not because the characters lack magnitude in the upcoming story: In terms of all of the newcomers in season 4, these two are incredibly important. They’re not being left out because of insignificance. Instead, if they are being left out at all, the only feasible reason for it is because Starz is holding back on featuring them for a later date. We do think that there will be some photos released of the two characters in due time. Maybe it won’t come before the next season 4 teaser (which we’re hoping to see within the next month or so), but it should prior to the first trailer (which we imagine will likely come in September). You want to start to introduce viewers to some of your new faces slowly over the months ahead, that way leading up to the start of the season in November, there’s at least a reasonable idea as to what viewers can expect.

Are there spoilers related to these characters that production should want to hold back on? Absolutely, but a picture doesn’t have to mean a thousand words when it comes to the plot! You can easily share some photos without some spoilers as to what happens to the characters. For example, you can just say that Bonnet is incredibly evil without getting into some of the details about it.

Like with all things in Droughtlander, patience is a virtue. Hopefully, being patient here is going to lead to some rewards sooner rather than later. Bonnet and Jocasta are critical to what lies ahead and the more Starz promotes them, the richer the story could be.
