Better Call Saul season 4 trailer: Jimmy McGill’s grief and more

Better Call Saul season 4

AMC has revealed a new Better Call Saul season 4 trailer in honor of San Diego Comic-Con, and it’s almost exactly what you would expect to see. You’ve got a memorial for Chuck McGill, Jimmy trying to assess the future of his career, and Mike also venturing down a new path with Madrigal.

To us, the aftermath of Chuck’s death does remain the most intriguing aspect of season 4 because this is a very different iteration of the character from what we’ve seen either to date on this show or on Breaking Bad. A significant part of his life is now gone. While we know that Jimmy and Chuck were hardly the best of friends, there was a connection that was there between them that will stick with him. With Chuck gone, Jimmy’s moral compass may be askew.

Better Call Saul, in the end, is a slow burn more so than anything else. We don’t think that the show is going to be all that much in a hurry to give answers as to what happens to Kim or when Jimmy becomes Saul. We’re watching in slow motion the reactions to even the subtlest changes. Still, there are some big ones coming … including Mike deciding that he does not any stickers anymore. We’re actually going to miss him being an attendant in the event that we don’t get to see him do that anymore. We’re kind of odd this way.

Remember that new episodes of Better Call Saul kick off in August and if we had to guess, we would say that this could be the greatest season to date. The closer we get to Breaking Bad, it’s pretty clear to us that we’re only going to get even more anxious as to what could be coming up next.
