Siren season 2: Expect more mermaids; hear Eline Powell sing!

Siren - Freeform

The Siren season 2 panel arrived on Thursday to San Diego Comic-Con, and if you love the series, there’s a pretty good chance you loved what happened there!

For starters, you had a chance to hear Eline Powell sing a little bit of a siren song for the audience! That video is below, and we give her a lot of credit. It’s no easy task being able to sing in front of the sort of audiences that you get at these sort of conventions!

Of course, in addition to this moment there were some other fun teases dropped about the show at the convention. For starters, we are going to be getting more mermaids, which is mostly confirmation of something that we know many people out there really want to see. It’s something that Rena Owen told CarterMatt she wanted to see in a recent interview prior to the panel actually happening.

Also, season 2 is going to explore further the effects that the siren song has and some of the general mythology behind it. There are also going to be some more twists and turns, but did you really anticipate anything different coming up? The reality with this show is that it’s still pretty early in the process of making the season; with that, there was no real need to share some sort of enormous spoilers on what lies ahead. We do think that the larger purpose of the panel this year was to mostly put everything in perspective with season 1 and to make it clear that there are some fun, exciting times ahead for the series.

Siren season 2 is going to run for 16 episodes, and will premiere on Freeform at some point in 2019. We’ll have some more news on the subject over time.
