The 100 season 5 episode 11 preview: What happened in the dark year

The 100

What’s coming up on The 100 season 5 episode 11? We’re getting a story coming up entitled “The Dark Year,” and that speaks to itself. This could be an episode that offers up more insight on what happened down in the bunker, and some of the terrible things that transpired there. We’re anticipating a fairly emotional episode and, more so than that, one that manages to actually surprise in a few moments. We don’t want to get so transfixed on what’s happening with the bunker storyline (which is finally being told — why make us wait for so long?) that we lose sight of what’s happening with Abby. It almost goes without saying at this point, but time really is of the essence with that story as everyone has to hope for answers soon.

Below, The 100 season 5 episode 11 synopsis offers up some more information regarding just what you can expect to see moving forward:

TRIALS AND TRIBULATIONS – As Clarke (Eliza Taylor) races to save Abby (Paige Turco), she learns more about the trials and tribulations Wonkru faced in the bunker, and the impossible decisions they were forced to make in the dark year. Bob Morley, Henry Ian Cusick, Marie Avgeropoulos, Lindsey Morgan, Richard Harmon, Chris Larkin and Tasya Teles also star. Alex Kalymnios directed the episode written by Heidi Cole McAdams (#511). Original airdate 7/24/2018.

How are the ratings?

We do want to spend a moment focusing on this, mostly because for the most part, there is good news! The series is averaging a 0.3 rating in the 18-49 demographic, which is down less than 8% from the season 4 rating on average. Given that this is a season airing deep into the summer, and also one without much of a great lead-in for most of it, The CW has a lot to be happy about. We already know that the show is coming back, but this is all rather-nice to see.
