911 season 2 filming right around the corner; what’s next?

For everyone out there excited for 911 season 2 to debut on Fox, now may be the time to really start buzzing with excitement! The beginning of the second season (at least in terms of filming) is right around the corner. As a matter of fact, as we get into the next week cameras will be rolling! To date, there have been scripts written, locations scouted, and all sorts of other valuable stuff when it comes to pre-production. The next order of business now is to just start filming and getting some episodes in the can.

So what can you expect when the show returns? The first thing to note here is that the Ryan Murphy production is going to be back as a two-part event. The first episode will air on Sunday, September 23 following NFL football; meanwhile, the second part is going to air the following night. This is a way to get off the season in the best way possible — and with that, we’re also referring to some of the best ratings possible.

In terms of the story itself, there hasn’t been too much said save for a big casting change that many people out there are likely already familiar with on some level. Following the departure of Connie Britton, Jennifer Love Hewitt is going to be coming on board as the new call-center operator. She will be a series regular, as well, which means that you’ll be seeing a lot of her as the story progresses. Odds are, there are probably going to be a few different characters who are also brought on board along the way. With this being the second season, we have to imagine that we are going to see the universe expanded greatly.
