American Horror Story season 8: Jeffrey Bowyer-Chapman, Kyle Allen cast
Sources confirm to Deadline that these two performers, best known for UnREAL and also The Path, respectively, have been cast to be a part of the new season. Yet, there aren’t many details out there about either one of them save for that they are guest stars. (This news was first leaked due to a picture on social media.)
Despite knowing that season 8 is the long-awaited crossover season between Murder House and Coven, FX has been rather cagey when it comes to releasing a flurry of information on what’s coming up next. They, almost intentionally, have not said too much about what is coming up in terms of the story. Murphy had originally claimed that the crossover was coming in season 9 rather than 8, so there are questions with that regarding the change.
Regardless of anything, though, there is a good chance that these castings could help to give the entire American Horror Story franchise the shot in the arm that it needs. While we did find parts of Cult entertaining, it was the show’s lowest-rated season and it could use something to get back some of the original fans of the series. Doing a season like this could end up being the perfect thing.
In the end, we don’t think that FX is going to make anyone wait too unbearably long for more details regarding American Horror Story season 8, largely due to the fact that the show is premiering in September. That’s not a whole lot of time for the network to really start promoting things, and we don’t think that they will wait too long to do that. With the show’s crossover theme, they do have an opportunity to do this in a way that they haven’t previously.
