Blue Bloods season 9: When could the Jamko wedding be?

As it turns out, quite a bit! It’s kind of crazy, but I realized that through all of the talk that we’ve had about the upcoming season of the show, there hasn’t really been all that much conversation as of yet about possible wedding dates. With that in mind, it feels like there are a few different ways in which the show could go with planning out a ceremony.

1. The premiere – Given that there will likely be a time jump between seasons, this really won’t be anywhere near as drastic of a move as it looks on paper. Also, Jamie and Eddie have known each other for so long that it doesn’t feel like a wedding would be that out of the blue. They also got engaged after not even really dating in an official capacity, so they’re clearly fine to rush the timeslot.

2. The last episode of the year – Maybe they want to get married during Christmastime! Christmas in New York City can be very romantic, and this would give the series a chance to both lead up to the wedding and tell stories on the other side of it. This would be one of my personal preferences just because it’d shake things up from the typical finale during February or May sweeps.

3. February sweeps – Like I just said, it’s customary — though I don’t think that Blue Bloods would make it about Valentine’s Day, since that is far too on the nose for a show like this.

4. May sweeps – This gives the producers a chance to tell a full story about the engagement leading up to the wedding. This may make some sense if the writers really wanted to dive into Jamko as a couple, mostly because that’s not something that has been explored in a romantic capacity so far.
