Crazy Ex-Girlfriend season 4 episode order; The Gifted season 2 tease; new Joss Whedon series (Quick Hits)

Crazy Ex-Girlfriend season 4

Welcome to a Friday edition of Quick Hits! We’ve once again got a number of important stories to pass along, but let’s kick things off here with the Crazy Ex-Girlfriend season 4 episode order. With the knowledge that this is the final year for the series over on HBO, we are rather happy in turn that Rachel Bloom and the entire producing team are getting a proper chance in order to see this story through.

According to SpoilerTV, the final season will consist of 18 episodes, which puts it on par with the very first season of the show. Consider this yet another reminder that when it comes to taking care of its longrunning properties, few networks do it better than The CW. Whether it be with Gossip Girl, The Originals, or now this show, the network tries their best to make sure all of their shows reach some sort of proper conclusion — or at least the ones that make it past a season or two.

As for some other news from the day…

New Joss Whedon series – Whedon is now joining Damon Lindelof as a top-tier showrunner working alongside HBO. He is going to be working on The Nevers, which is described as an “epic science-fiction drama about a gang of Victorian women who find themselves with unusual abilities, relentless enemies, and a mission that might change the world.” In what is a real sign of the network’s faith in the series, Whedon has already been handed down a series order. That’s not something that we see all that often with most HBO shows, so this really is a testament to the capabilities of Whedon and the overall amount of faith that the network has in him.

The Gifted season 2 tease – Finally, take a look at the photo below (via Entertainment Weekly) for a look at a very pregnant Polaris at the start of The Gifted season 2. There’s going to be a time jump leading up to the premiere, where you will see Emma Dumont’s character about to give birth. While we’ve certainly seen mutant / superhero babies across the entertainment medium before, seeing one through this particular lens could be interesting.

The Gifted is set to premiere this fall.
