Blue Bloods season 9: Preparing for the start of filming!

Blue Bloods season 9

Are you ready for Blue Bloods season 9 filming to be here? Well, then here’s some good news: You’re not going to be waiting too much longer! The CBS series is going to be back at work soon on the latest batch of new episodes — to be specific, production starts early next week.

In a post on Instagram, Marisa Ramirez (Baez) explicitly mentions getting set to head back to New York City to resume work on the CBS show, which is hopefully going to kick things off in a big way for the upcoming September 28 premiere. At the moment, we know that there are many different, interesting stories for Blue Bloods to take on, starting with the engagement of Jamie and Eddie. Given that this is not a show that leans heavily into romance, we don’t expect to see that changing at all here. Yet, you do have to give them some romantic moments in the midst of the police drama, while also touching on whether or not you can make some of Frank’s feelings change after he made it rather clear that he is not altogether on board with them being together and working together. (As a father we think he’s happy for Jamie, but as Commissioner, there are other things that he needs to think about.)

As for what could be coming up for Ramirez and her character of Baez moving forward, one of the biggest things that we are hoping to see is simply an opportunity to learn more about her history and her day-to-day relationship with partner Danny than ever before.

Blue Bloods season 9 is going to be in production starting next week and moving into the spring of 2019. Filming takes up a good bit of the year, but we know from watching it over the years that it is very much worth the effort.
