Elementary season 7 filming officially begins in New York!
For those of you wanting more news on this subject, the news was first confirmed in a post on Twitter by the series’ writing staff. Filming kicked off on Wednesday but as is the case with many other shows, it will be continuing for many more months to come.
As for what’s happening in season 7, though, that’s something that you are probably going to have to wait on for quite some time. The CBS series knows that they’ve got a mystery on their hands and because of that, they’re probably not going to want to spoil that at any point in the near future. Instead, be prepared for them to keep most of their cards close to the vest and not give a whole lot away. If we had to guess, though, we’ll probably say that a new recurring character/regular will be added to the mix because that is something that we’ve seen happen on multiple occasions in the past — think along the lines of Mycroft, Morland, Shinwell, and now Michael in season 6. It’s a rather-strange coincident that three out of the four names we’ve mentioned start with the letter M, right?
Anyhow, you are going to have to wait a while to see Elementary season 7. After all, there is no firm confirmation right now as to when these episodes are going to air — if we had to guess, though, we’d say that the show is going to be back in either the late spring or early summer, similar to what happened during season 6. There’s no real reason to deviate from that, especially since the ratings aren’t down all that much from season 5. The numbers, unfortunately, probably are not strong enough for CBS to really consider moving the series to another spot. This is one of the network’s shows that actually performs probably just as well internationally, if not better, than it does in the United States.
