NCIS: New Orleans season 5 spotlight: The future of Christopher LaSalle

In this edition in our ongoing NCIS: New Orleans character spotlight series, we’re talking about a man in Christopher LaSalle we certainly love. He’s been through a lot and he certainly dealt with a lot of stuff last season. With that in mind, is it so wrong to actually root for him to find some happiness? We don’t think so, which is why we’re focusing on that very thing within this particular spotlight article! How can LaSalle overcome some of what he went through last season? We’ve got a handful of suggestions for you to check out + enjoy below.

1. Settle matters when it comes to his father’s business – At the end of season 4, LaSalle was effectively forced to deal with some tax issues that stemmed from his late dad’s line of work. While we do think that it is okay if it is not completely taken care of at the start of the season, we’d appreciate the show putting him on the road to getting it figured out.

2. More friendship moments – Let’s start off here with Pride, since we would actually love to see the two spend some time together out of work and for Dwayne to become even more of a father figure to LaSalle than he was in the first handful of seasons. Beyond that, we actually would love to see LaSalle and Sebastian established some more common ground and get to know each other better outside of work.

3. Some hope at a new romantic future – Is it too early for him to get a love interest following the exit of Percy? We think so — they weren’t together, but it was clear that there were some feelings that were there. We don’t know if those will be gone early on in season 5, but maybe down the road it’s possible they will be explored more.

4. Take the new person under his wing – We think that LaSalle is a good ambassador for the area, and when the show casts someone new, maybe he will do his part in order to help her fit in and understand the city better.
