Supergirl season 4: Jeremy Jordan will return to Broadway
Today, it was announced that Jordan will be joining the play American Son starting for some performances this October; this play features a pretty fantastic cast including Kerry Washington and Steven Pasquale, which may be in part why Jeremy wanted to do something like this. He will play Officer Paul Larkin in what is his first role in a major non-musical Broadway production.
In a statement, here is what Jordan had to say about taking the part:
“I’m thrilled for the opportunity to join this remarkably talented group of artists … I’ve been dying to return to Broadway for quite some time, and American Son is everything I could ask for: challenging, timely, intimate, and a vast departure from anything else I’ve ever done.
“What I love most about this piece is that from the moment the lights come up, it forces us to listen. Even when we disagree, even when we know we must be right, it reminds us we still have to listen to each other, and for some reason that’s something I think we collectively decided to stop doing a long time ago. I’m very excited to be joining Kenny Leon and this fantastic cast to tell this incredibly important story.”
The play is about a Florida police station, where two interracial parents (Washington and Pasquale) are desperately looking for answers on their missing 18-year old son.
Supergirl premieres on The CW this fall, with filming for the latest batch of episodes coming as early as this week. For some other news on the subject of the series, you can find it just by heading over to the link here right now.
