SWAT season 2: Shemar Moore kicks off filming in awesome fashion

SWAT episode 2

There are subtle ways in which to announce the first day of filming for any given show, and then there is what Shemar Moore has decided to do here with SWAT season 2. This has to be one of the most epic (and awesome) ways in which to start a season of television off.

In a new post via Instagram, you can see Moore (who plays Hondo on the CBS series) atop the tallest building in Los Angeles … and probably sweating like nobody’s business. It was over 90 degrees in LA on Monday, and in a lot of ways Moore is lucky that production didn’t start a couple of days earlier when the temperatures were soaring far into the hundreds for most of Southern California.

What this post basically shows you is that for the start of season 2, SWAT is not messing around. We’re going to get one of the most high-octane premiere episodes you can possibly imagine, one that is certainly going to make you feel like you’re getting an adrenaline rush just when it comes to watching it alone. Season 1 was a great testing ground for a lot of the stuff that worked really well for the series, including the action sequences and some of the character building that took place over time. SWAT was not a show that really did all that much in terms of rushing the story along. It really gave you a chance to dive into some of these characters and that’s what made the end of the first season all the more fantastic.

If you missed it, head over here to see the SWAT season 2 premiere date plus ones for some other shows.
