Pose episode 7 preview: The ‘Pink Slip’ story; ratings update

Pose episode 7 next week carries with it the title of “Pink Slip” and, beyond that, signs point towards this being a pretty important hour of two. The House of Evangelista and Abundance are both prepared to undergo great change; beyond that, though, some other characters need to be thinking about their individual future. While we’ve seen some moments of victory for a few of these different characters, we’ve also seen plenty of moments of heartbreak. It’s very well possible that the next episode is going to be a combination of both.

Below, the Pose episode 7 synopsis offers up a little bit more in the way of information as to what’s coming up on the series next:

Blanca makes a startling revelation about Lil Papi that changes the House of Evangelista forever. Meanwhile, Elektra rethinks her means of survival when the House of Abundance is evicted from their apartment.

Could this episode be the most important we’ve seen to date? While we cannot say that for certain, we do think that we’re more invested than ever now that we’ve gotten a chance to get to know everyone.

The latest ratings

Last week, we had a chance to celebrate the best ratings that we’ve seen for Pose to date. Unfortunately, this time around we come bearing news that a little more unfortunate — yet, it’s also not especially worrisome, either. This past episode ended up generating in total 580,000 viewers and then a 0.3 rating in the 18-49 demographic. The latter rating is about equal with how the show fared the week before and with that in mind, you do have to think that there’s a slight cause for optimism that we could be getting a season 2. All of this is still a little early to tell — it’s hard to necessarily gauge the expectations FX has in a show like this — but we are optimistic for whatever the future for Pose will be.
