Sharp Objects episode 2 preview: Camille digs for more ‘Dirt’

Want to know what lies ahead on Sharp Objects episode 2? This installment is coming onto HBO in one week’s time and at the center of this one is going to be Camille doing what she can in order to fulfill the next order of business in her investigation: Trying to ensure that she gets all of the necessarily clues in order to determine what’s really happening in Wind Gap. Unfortunately, this is not going to go all that well for her. For starters, we’re going to see that not everyone in the town welcomes her presence and, beyond that, not everyone else may be altogether interested in handing over further information regarding what they know.

Be prepared for Sharp Objects to be a slow build so much more so than a series that gives you all of the answers right away. This is a show that could keep you on your toes, but then beyond that figure out a way to continually have you guessing as to precisely what’s going to be coming up next.

Below, the Sharp Objects episode 2 synopsis (this episode is entitled “Dirt”) gives you a little bit more in the way of updates as to what’s coming:

Camille (Amy Adams) searches for clues at the funeral and wake for Wind Gap’s latest victim, and clashes with her mother (Patricia Clarkson) over Camille’s presence in the town. Richard (Chris Messina) finds a surprising way to arrive at a conclusion about the murderer’s profile. Camille pays a visit to the working-class home of a young boy (Matty Evers) who says he witnessed the abduction, and confronts Chief Vickery (Matt Craven) about why he ignored the boy’s claim.

Will Sharp Objects prove to be an enormous hit over at HBO? We’re ultimately too early in the process to know any official news on that subject for now, but that’s something that we’ll have more on a little bit later this week. For now, we do think that the star power with Amy Adams will go a long way.
