Power season 5 episode 3 preview: Ghost, Tasha duped by Tate — again

Moving into Power season 5 episode 3 airing on Starz next weekend, it appears as though there is one thing at the center of it: More trouble for Ghost and Tasha. Why? Well, let’s just say once more that Tate is once more to blame. He’s already done what he can to manipulate them via the press conference, knowing that getting the two of them out in front of a public helps to get his own project off the ground. There’s nothing that serves as a financial motivator quite like grief, and that’s something that we are expecting to see quite a bit more of moving forward.

Below, the Power season 5 episode 3 synopsis offers up some other information when it comes to what lies ahead:

Ghost and Tasha butt heads on how to properly grieve and honor Raina after being duped by Tate to participate in a public tip line in pursuit of her killer; and Angela gathers solid intel in pursuit of the Jimenez Cartel.

What makes this particular episode so interesting so mostly the simple fact that we’re talking here about a story based in part on Ghost and Tasha’s public versus private lives. The reason that Tate continues to be able to control the two of them like puppets is that he knows their desire to keep a certain perception of themselves for everyone to see. He can take advantage of that given that Ghost and Tasha have to keep their public reputation.

As for the Angela part of this upcoming story, there are clearly going to be some other problems that she faces beyond just the Jimenez Cartel. What she fails to completely realize, at least at the moment, is what sort of problems are going to be coming up from within the Prosecutor’s Office. John Mok and others still are not interested in having her as the head of Criminal and with that, they’ll be do whatever they can to take her down a peg.
