The Flash season 5 production officially underway in Vancouver

Flash season 4

For everyone out there excited for The Flash season 5, know that the CW series is officially going strong in Vancouver — or at least it was on Friday.

In a post on Instagram, new series regular Hartley Sawyer (Ralph Dibny) confirmed that the cast is now at work crafting new episodes in what has been a fairly tight-lipped new season so far. Other than the promotions of Danielle Nicolet, Sawyer, and Jessica Parker Kennedy, nobody else has said much on the subject of what is coming up next.

As for what we are expecting to see on the series moving forward, one of the biggest things is, in the early going, an opportunity for some cliffhanger resolution. At the end of season 4, Kennedy’s Nora West-Allen made it clear that she was in the past in order to correct a mistake that she made. What was it, and why did she wait so long to come clean with the rest of the team? These are two things we’d love a little more information on. Beyond just that, we’d also love a chance to learn more in regards to the Big Bad (even if it’s a little bit of a mystery in the early going) and also what the future is going to be like for Joe and Cecile now that we know that Nicolet is going to have a major part in the show coming up.

Of course, there is also something to look forward to in whatever version of Harrison Wells turns up. Signs point to the Earth-2 Wells being done on the series (at least for now) and an entirely new iteration of the character showing up in the future. We’ve already seen Wells as the Big Bad so it would be nice to see another totally-new iteration.
