Legends of Tomorrow season 4 filming begins; see Caity Lotz photo!

Legends of Tomorrow season 4Thursday marked a big day when it comes to Legends of Tomorrow season 4, largely because filming is officially underway! The cast and crew recently descended on Vancouver in order to begin production on the latest batch of episodes, and you can see one of the first photos of many of them back together below!

These images come courtesy of series star Caity Lotz, who shared images of herself alongside Brandon Routh, Dominic Purcell, executive producer Phil Klemmer, Tala Ashe, and a small glimpse of Matt Ryan within his famous Constantine trench coat. It makes sense for some of these cast members to be back on the Waverider at the start of season 4, but it’s not altogether clear how the series is going to handle some of the others. Take, for example, finding a way to get Amaya back into the fold — while Maisie Richardson-Sellers is going to be returning to the show there is no timeline as to when or how we are going to see that happen. Basically, look at it this way: There is an element of mystery there. Also, Jes Macallan will be a regular in the role of Ava Sharpe, but she does not turn up in any of these imagines.

Season 4 of Legends of Tomorrow is going to premiere on The CW this fall, where it is going to be paired on the same night with another superhero show in Arrow. We don’t really feel like there’s going to be that much of an effort to change things up from season 3, largely because that is where this series really started to find itself and become one of the funniest, most ridiculous things on television. We do still firmly believe that the end of the season 3 finale may be one of the best sequences that we’ve seen in television over the course of the past year, in between the return of Beebo and then everyone’s reaction to it.
