Criminal Minds season 14: Three things we still want to see

Criminal Minds

Moving into Criminal Minds season 14, or the rest of the series in general, what do we still want to see? Consider these not so much expectations for what lies ahead; instead, they are more in the vein of things we’d like to check out before the show comes to a close as a whole. We want to see this series have the right combination of a victory lap and also a time of reflection before coming to a close, whether that be in season 14, season 15, or season 20. These ideas are a way to make sure that the remainder of the series is as strong as possible.

1. More name episodes – Any longtime Criminal Minds fan knows that these are some of the most important episodes of the series, and with the show’s future beyond season 14 unclear, it would be wonderful to get another big episode in this vein. Think about getting an “Emily” or a “David.” Paget Brewster and Joe Mantegna are the two long-tenured actors in the cast to not have one of these episodes just yet. Of course, on the other side of these we’d love to see something big for Tara Lewis, for Matt Simmons, or for Luke Alvez. We’re just prioritizing some of the long-tenured cast members first.

2. Some sort of crossover – We know that the show coming from a different studio has kept Criminal Minds from sharing the screen with many of the other series on CBS, but wouldn’t you love to see it on at least one occasion? We just think it would be a shame to avoid something like this with there being so much potential here and things that could be explored.

3. More returning cast members from the past – While there are some (like Thomas Gibson) we doubt we’ll ever see again, wouldn’t it be nice to get some other cameos in the future? Whether it’s a series finale or some other milestone, it would be fun to see a little more of Shemar Moore or even some other cast members from Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders.
