Salvation season 2 premiere: Jennifer Finnigan teases what’s ahead

The Salvation season 2 premiere is coming up on CBS Monday, June 25 at 9:00 p.m. Eastern time and judging from the new preview below, you’ve got a good bit to look forward to!

In the video below, you can hear Jennifer Finnigan (Grace Barrows) offer up a small tease as to what lies ahead and what looks to be one of the biggest themes of the entire season — everything now being out in the open. With the public now acutely aware of what’s happening with entire world in crisis, that does dramatically raise the stakes. There will be fear and panic quite like nothing that we’ve ever seen and that’s something that Finnigan hints at here.

For Grace in particular, there is one other problem that is literally haunting her: Claire. Following her shooting Claire at the end of the first season, the character looks to be visiting her in spectral form over the course of the premiere episode. While we cannot speak to whether or not this is a trend that is going to last for the remainder of the series, it’s certainly something that is worth watching out for in the early going here. It’s also quite a distraction given that with the stakes being what they are, Grace really needs to have her eye on the prize.

Salvation had a solid run on CBS this past year, and with it moving to a new timeslot, the biggest hope that we have is that viewers out there do find a way to locate and, to go along with that, check the show out. It’s bringing a lot to the table and it could be poised to deliver a rather fascinating run that should make all of us question how we would act with the fate of the world on the brink.
