Jersey Shore Family Vacation: The Situation, Lauren Pesce engaged
On Thursday night’s new episode of the MTV series, the big moment happened that many people have been looking to see for quite some time: He officially proposed to Lauren Pesce! That’s not a surprise to anyone who has been reading up on the news over the past few months. Mike and Lauren have not kept this a secret, but at the same time it was rather impossible to expect them to. What were they supposed to do, wander around the past few moments pretending that they weren’t going to be engaged? This moment came about tonight in a way that was very romantic for the two of them, and kudos to some of the entire Jersey Shore Family Vacation cast for being such good sports during all of it. (Last week, the show tried to create some drama out of the proposal by acting as though there was going to be a fight between Mike and JWoww.)
As someone who has watched the entirety of Jersey Shore from the beginning, I personally do think that there is something rather beautiful in seeing the transition of Mike. If you think back to the start of the series, this is not the same Situation that has been on the air now — he’s humbler, kinder, and has a better understanding as to who he is as a person and just what he wants out of his life. He’s not as interested in causing problems with some other members of the cast … at least in comparison to what he was like in the past.
Congratulations to Mike and Lauren! I hope that there is a way in which to get a Jersey Shore wedding at some point down the line.
