Brockmire season 3 premiere date hopes on IFC
If there’s one thing that any show values, it is consistency — to date, we certainly are seeing that with this show. Both the first and second seasons of Brockmire came on the air in the spring; with that, we like to think that this is when the third season could also start, as well! Once a show finds an appropriate time to come on the air that allows it to perform, why move it? Why run the risk? Brockmire is an innovative show with a good cast, and we certainly hope that there are some more episodes coming for a while.
At the moment, the goods news is this — not only are we going to see a third season of the show, but the series has already been renewed for a fourth season to go along with it. This decision was made even before the second season premiered, so that is a pretty good sign that clearly, there are some folks over at that network that are obviously loving what they are seeing when it comes to the show and its sense of storytelling.
No in regards to the ratings, for the most part they were solid for season 2. Brockmire season 2 averaged over 220,000 viewers in terms of live viewing, which is down less than 10% from the show’s season 1 average. For a network like IFC this is a pretty solid performance — the biggest thing that a series like this really needs is more exposure and a chance to speak to a larger platform. IFC can get there if they do continue to emphasize more original programming and find a way to attract some other notable performers.
