Outlander notes: Jeopardy, premieres, and preparing for filming’s end

In today’s edition of Outlander notes, we do have a lot of interesting subjects to get to … starting of course with one of our favorite subjects in game shows.

Earlier this week, Diana Gabaldon was used as a question on Jeopardy! related to the subject of some of her fantastic work creating Jamie Fraser. This is far from the first time that the game show has utilized something within the Outlander world for a question, and it is also not the first time this year. It has to be an honor every single time — once you make it on Jeopardy, we like to think that you are more or less a done deal when it comes to being an official pop-culture institution.

Hopefully, there are many more years of the show so that we can see even more Jeopardy inclusion — we know that there are two more books in Gabaldon’s series!

Sophie Skelton’s new premiere

Earlier today, Skelton (who of course plays Brianna on the series) made an appearance at the premiere of Puzzle at the Edinburgh International Film Festival. You can see some more photos of her over at the Daily Mail. Even though Skelton clearly wasn’t at the set filming today, we still know that season 4 is poised to be the largest one for her yet. Brianna’s journey is about to escalate in ways that alternate from exciting to devastating. It’s something to track throughout the coming months, and we could see Skelton’s presence at these premieres becoming all the more subject of headlines.

Filming nears the end

While we haven’t seen anything regarding an official wrap to production, we know via social media that Matthew B. Roberts and Maril Davis, two of the series’ most-prominent producers, have been traveling via plane as of late. Doesn’t that suggest something when it comes to a potential end of the road soon?

Of course, remember that Outlander will be done with its current location within the Scottish forest on June 30 at the latest. Given that the cast has conventions set up after that, it’s very well possible that this could mark the end of the road.
