Genius season 3 premiere date hopes, subject for Nat Geo

Genius season 3

Following tonight’s finale, what will the Genius season 3 premiere date be? That’s something we want to get to the bottom of within this article!

Earlier this year, it was officially confirmed that there will be a third season of this anthology series, which takes a look at some of the most iconic people from the past several seasons. The subject of season 3 is none other than Frankenstein author Mary Shelley, making this the first time that a woman has been at the center of the series. There’s a chance here to tell some very interesting stories and we are absolutely excited to see what it looks like — let alone some of the casting.

Given the premiere window, the safe assumption to make here is that Genius season 3 is going to be filming a little bit later this year.

In a statement, executive producer Ron Howard had the following to say:

“Mary Shelley has inspired countless filmmakers with her tale of the wretch brought to life by science gone wrong, but very few have fully captured her insightful reflections on society in the myth she left behind … Few know of her struggles due to gender inequities, her additional writings, her influence on other historically significant individuals and society at large.  Showcasing someone like Mary Shelley and her amazing intellect, compassion and fortitude is exactly what this series is for, and we are looking forward to continuing our successful partnership with National Geographic and Fox 21 Television Studios.”

Hopefully, we’re going to have some more news in regards to Genius season 3 and its casting over the coming months. We do think that Shelley is the perfect subject given that she’s so much more than just an author, and what makes this series so great is its ability to spotlight subjects across multiple different aspects of who they are. This could be the strongest season yet, if it matches some of our early expectations.
