Is Fear the Walking Dead season 4 episode 9 new tonight on AMC? We’re certainly sure that there is a demand for it.
Alas, there is no new episode tonight, and as reported over here, the series is not going to be coming back on the air until we get around to August. We’ve got a little while to wait until the show comes back, and that’s going to be pretty painful when you consider what we’re coming off of. It’s still not altogether easy to imagine the show without Madison, especially since we also lost Nick in the first half of the season, as well. In general, we are moving now into the second half of what feels like a totally new show with completely different characters. While we do still have Victor Strand and Alicia Clark in the mix, there isn’t anyone else left who was a part of the first season. As a matter of fact, a pretty high percentage of some of the cast members now are people we’ve just met this season.
Can these people prove themselves to be quite awesome? Sure, but we do think that many of them have an uphill battle proving themselves to diehard fans even still.
One of the best ways that AMC could help to promote this show further would be giving us a full trailer for what’s coming up, one that is far more substantial than the 30-second clip that has made the rounds showing everything from more zombies to what appears to be a fairly devastating rainstorm. San Diego Comic-Con is likely going to be the venue for that, and the network absolutely should put some time into making something awesome here.
If there’s one reason to have faith in the future of Fear the Walking Dead, it’s that the first half of this season was the best artistically we’ve seen to date. It’s a shame that so much of it built towards Madison’s death, and we hope that there is some sort of larger plan that will start to make itself clear now.
