Poldark season 4: Aidan Turner on the cold reality of swimming scenes
What we find especially funny here in retrospect is learning just how uncomfortable it actually was filming that particular scene in some of the cold winter temperatures. This is something that Aidan Turner describes at length in a new interview on The Chris Evans Breakfast Show, saying that it was “freezing” to film the scene and that he’s still surprised that some of the reaction to it was what it was. (You probably know what we’re talking about at this point with the magazine covers and the like.)
In this interview Turner also talks about his workout routine to play Ross, how grueling some of the filming days are, and a little bit about the show as a whole. It’s not a particularly spoilery interview so we do think that you can listen to it and enjoy no matter where you are. This is what makes this time of the year so great if you are an Aidan Turner fan — there are several different chances for you to watch and listen to various interviews! The start of a new season often leads to a new press tour, which in turn means opportunities to do some various interviews like these.
Remember that if you are in the UK, new Poldark episodes are going to continue airing on BBC One Sunday nights. For those of you who are waiting in America, we still suspect that the premiere episode is going to come on this fall on PBS.
