Suits season 8: Is a character going to be pregnant?
Based on some of the information that is out there at the moment, it definitely seems as though this is a twist that could be coming. Such is what TVLine is reporting using two simple words: “Pregnancy twist.”
Who could be expecting? The most obvious answer is Sheila, mostly because it would be a big way to accelerate the relationship she has with Louis; also, Louis having a family is something that has been fairly high up on his personal wishlist for some time. Him actually getting a chance to be a father would be a dream come true.
Yet, I do wonder if it’s really so much a twist if it’s so easy to predict. Given that Rachel is not an onscreen part of the show anymore, it’s hardly that big of a plot point if she’s pregnant. Meanwhile, Katrina Bennett is just returning full-time and Samantha Wheeler is a character we haven’t met just yet. This means the only possibility for a huge surprise would be if Donna is pregnant, but she and Harvey have not even slept together as of late! It’s something to think about as a possibility over the season, but I think there’d need to be some sort of buildup to get to that point. The TVLine report doesn’t note when in the season the twist happens, so it doesn’t necessarily have to be in the early going.
All in all, consider this twist yet another reason to check out the series when it premieres on USA next month. For some more, just take a look at one of the latest promos all about what you can expect to see!
