How The Fosters spin-off Good Trouble will challenge Callie

The upcoming The Fosters spin-off Good Trouble is going to put Callie Adams Foster through her paces, especially when it comes to her decision to take a job with the conservative Judge WIlson. We knew from the get-go that her trying to influence a judge who may not be ready to hear her point of view would be difficult. Yet, some of the latest information out there only validates that further.

For a little bit more insight on the subject of conflict, check out some of what executive producer Jenna Johnson had to say in an interview with TVLine:

“[She’s] forced to bite her tongue at times when her politics and her ideology is different from his. It’s going to be harder than she imagined it would be, and sometimes she’s going to question if she did the right thing.”

Do we think that the decision Callie made to take this clerkship is still the best one that she could make? We do, just from the vantage point that this is the right venue for her to figure out how in the world she wants to enact some change with people who need a different point of view. Also, these are going to be people Callie will end up squaring off against no matter where she ends up in the legal world. With that in mind, it’s almost better in some ways that she takes on some of these challenges on now — after all, if she doesn’t, is she really going to be qualified to take on some of these challenges later?

What do you think is going to happen with Callie on Good Trouble, and do you think that working with this judge will cause her problems? Be sure to share right now in the comments!
