Supergirl season 3 finale spoilers: Prepare for a game-changing ending

Supergirl season 3 episode 13

The Supergirl season 3 finale is coming onto The CW in one day’s time and judging from most early indications as to what’s coming, we’re going to be in for an epic showdown — and an unpredictable one, as well. This episode could change the entire course of the series, and we’re certainly hearing rumors that this could be one of the most important finales that we’ve had to see in the entire Arrowverse over the past year or so. There have already been a few teases and quotes out there about it, and we think that the Supergirl season 3 finale synopsis below is just hint as to how important the story ahead is going to be:

SHOCKING SEASON FINALE – Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) and team take on Selena in an epic battle for Earth. Jesse Warn directed the episode written by Robert Rovner & Jessica Queller (#323). Original airdate 6/18/2018.

This is, by far, the shortest synopsis that we’ve gotten so far for this series, but it does feel pretty clear at the moment there is a good reason for that. The folks behind the scenes at the CW series realize that they need to be cagey about things in terms of what’s coming up. After all, if they don’t you run the risk of someone either figuring it out or predicting the wrong thing and setting the fandom into a tailspin.

At least we know entering the finale that there is a season 4 on the other side of it and we like to believe that helps … at least to a certain extent. We’re still very concerned for a few different characters — at least other than Kara. In one or another, we have to assume that she is sticking around.
