Marvel’s Cloak & Dagger episode 3 promo: Voodoo and other questions
In the video below, you can see Tandy and Tyrone do everything that they can to deal with their difficult present … while also experiencing more setbacks along the way. Tandy’s on the run, for example, and she may take on some desperate actions in order to secure her safety. Meanwhile, Tyrone may be looking more in the direction of voodoo for understanding. (Given that the show is set in New Orleans, doesn’t it feel about right to explore things further in this way?)
Eventually, these characters are going to be put on a road where eventually, they are going to understand precisely how much they end up needing each other. Based on some commentary that is out there around the internet at present, we could see these two working towards coming together further at some point by around the time we reach the end of episode 4. Maybe we won’t be in clear Cloak & Dagger form just yet by that point, but we’ll at least be closer to it.
In general, it’s hard to imagine being happier with the direction of Cloak & Dagger than we are right now. Freeform gave the writers the ability to tell this story at their own pace without really rushing Tandy and Tyrone into a quick partnership. It also managed to address social issues in a real, gripping way without becoming pedantic; at the same time, it was relatable for young viewers watching all over the world. It’s had a fantastic start and this could be a show that becomes the breakout hit of the summer by the time everything is said and done.
