Entering Station 19 season 2, plenty of characters remain in danger

ABC’s Station 19 made its way to the ATX Television Festival this week, and of course anytime you put some of the cast and creative team in a room together, there are going to be questions about the future. How could there not be when it could think about the way in which the first season ended? It was one of the biggest, most shocking cliffhangers that we’ve seen, and this likely paves the way for some more surprises when the show actually does premiere.

We know that you probably want assurances that most of the season 1 cast is going to survive the fiery end to the season but, unfortunately, we’re not getting that. Instead, here is what show executive producer Stacy McKee had to say on the subject (per Deadline):

“…Anyone could die at any time. That’s the nature of the job, and if you’ve ever watched an episode of Grey’s Anatomy you know.”

One of the other things that came out at the ATX event is something that you’ve probably heard a few times already: You will get an opportunity to see some more crossovers moving forward as the producers look to expand the world further and some of these characters. Even if the entirety of the station survives the big cliffhanger, we do still feel like we’re going to get a chance to see some new faces turn up — after all, that tends to happen anytime that you have a show coming back after a successful first season on the air.

Station 19 will continue to air this fall on Thursday nights, following the flagship Grey’s Anatomy on the air.
