Elementary season 6 episode 7 preview: Sherlock versus Michael

Just in case you wanted a reminder that Elementary season 6 is shaping up to be one of the best we’ve seen for the entire series, we do think this article serves that purpose. We’re looking ahead now to the next new episode entitled “Sober Companions,” one that is set to ignite the battle between Sherlock and his “friend” Michael — who is clearly far from his friend.

From the jump, the CBS series has set this character up as a dangerous force to be reckoned with. Now, it’s getting pretty clear that this man may be a full-on serial killer who tries to use people’s weaknesses against them. He has presented himself as a friend to Sherlock Holmes but in doing so, it’s very well possible that he has just intentionally placed himself in a position where he can figure him out and better understand him. In doing so, however, it’s certainly possible that Sherlock may be able to figure him out, as well. This is precisely what we want for a show like Elementary — a genuine showdown between Sherlock and an intellectual rival.

Below, the Elementary season 6 episode 7 synopsis offers up some more information as to precisely what is coming up:

Holmes and Watson find themselves on the hunt for a serial killer after a murder rocks their inner circle. Also, Holmes’ neurological recovery regresses and his sobriety wavers as his commitment to catching the killer grows into an obsession.

The promo below just gives you a good sense as to some of the drama and intensity that is coming up in this episode and the guessing game that lies ahead. Unfortunately, the fact that Sherlock knows this man is likely going to lead to even more obsession — and this situation spiraling out of control.
