The Originals season 5 episode 7 photos: First look at a funeral
While there may be a number of different things going on over the course of the episode here, the biggest one is saying goodbye to none other than Hayley Marshall. The characters was killed off in a pretty brutal fashion at the end of last week’s installment — just in case you needed more evidence that Phoebe Tonkin’s character is not springing back to life, some of these photos from her werewolf funeral could ultimately be all the proof you need. These images show a werewolf funeral for the character, who had a tremendous run on the series dating all the way back to her time on The Vampire Diaries. It is the longevity of her run on the series that, in part, makes saying goodbye to her now so hard. It’s not something that anyone could be prepared for altogether easily, which is why we are in the position that we’re in now.
Ultimately, though, there are some issues that will be dealt with on the other side of this, including whether or not Klaus is going to get close to the rest of the family again and if this death will be unifying in some larger way. We’re sure that it may force Klaus to be more of a present father figure to Hope, largely because the only other option is to let her not have any sort of parental figure in her life. We’re hoping that Caroline helped to get through to him in come capacity.
For now, though, tissues are highly recommended for Hayley’s big goodbye. After all, we don’t expect it to be altogether easy.
