CMT Music Awards 2018 start time, performers, where to watch

While tonight is a relatively quieter night when it comes to new programming, you should get a chance to see the 2018 CMT Music Awards coming up in a mere matter of hours! The broadcast starts tonight at 8:00 p.m. Eastern time on the country-music network, and as you would imagine, some of the biggest names in the industry are going to be stepping out as performers.

According to Rolling Stone, Blake Shelton, Carrie Underwood, Chris Stapleton, Dan + Shay, Florida Georgia Line, Jason Aldean, Kelly Clarkson, Kelsea Ballerini, Little Big Town, Luke Bryan and Sam Hunt are among some of the notable performers hitting the main stage. As for some of the collaborations, Darius Rocker will be performing alongside Jason Aldean, Charles Kelley, and Luke Bryan; meanwhile, Dierks Bentley will perform “Burning Man” alongside Brothers Osborne.

Meanwhile, Carly Pearce, Devin Dawson, Lanco, Lindsay Ell, Russell Dickerson and Walker Hayes will all be featured during the show as they perform from the Ram Trucks Side Stage. This is a way for the show to continue to promote up-and-coming artists, even if they don’t get the same amount of screen time or attention as some of the other performers on the show. These performers are also nominees within the Breakthrough Video of the Year category.

There isn’t too much information known just yet in regards to a live stream for the red carpet — in the past, CMT has offered one on their Facebook page but in general, the red carpet for this show doesn’t get the same amount of attention as some other shows have.
