The Originals season 5 episode 6 sneak peek: Klaus, Caroline talk about Hope
Is Klaus going to figure out how to be the best father possible? That is something that he still questions, especially given that he has been away from Hope for so long that he doesn’t know what to do with her now. Caroline actually is the perfect person for him to go to for advice on this subject, largely because of the fact that she has been through many of these fires already and has tackled many an important problem as a parent. She’s had the twins in her life for quite some time and beyond that, there’s also the supernatural school. Caroline knows how to care for people in the long-term and that’s what makes her a resource. Of course, for Klaus she is also so much more than that — it’s very much interesting to watch these two characters now as opposed to when we first met them. Both have become so much more rounded-out as characters and they are far from who they once were.
Does any of this conversation guarantee that Klaus is going to be the best father possible when he sees Hope again? Not exactly. As a matter of fact, we’ve got plenty of reasons to be concerned over his parenting just because of the fact that he hasn’t exactly been the perfect mentor to anyone in his life; yet, we want to think that there’s something about being around Hope that could inspire him to be his best self. Maybe this is just us having wishful thinking, but it’s still a rather-nice thought to ultimately consider.
